Beginner

Game Studio's appearance can be customized in its settings, by changing the theme.

Currently, Game Studio does not support external themes. The only way of creating your own theme is by modifying the source code.

Changing the theme

Open settings by going to Edit > Settings.
Change the theme in Themes > Theme Name.
Click the Save and close button and reload the editor for the changes to take effect.

Here's a list of all built-in themes:

Expression Dark is Game Studio's default theme, resembling the appearance of Visual Studio 2019.

Dark Steel is a slightly lighter version of Expression Dark, resembling the color style that was used in older versions of Stride.

The Divided theme is meant to resemble the Unity® editor to help ease-in users coming from that engine.

Light Steel Blue is an experimental light theme based off of the default Expression Dark.

Some elements might appear less-readable.
